GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.
I know some of you are really worried and all but I'm sure you'll get into the places that you want. I LOVE ALL OF YOU, WHEREVER YOU GO OKAY. Yeah Yus, I'll meet up with you one day to resume our beat-boxing matches :D

Ah crap, I'm getting the jitters myself.
If you're wondering. Yes, I'm looking forward to school.

Love, lust, desire, companionship, prey, predator, blood and decapitation.

Went to Parkway with Zi Wei in the morning in hope of towhuay, only to find stalls still closed for the public holidays. We survived the letdown and made do with Coffee Bean and its ice-blended beverages. We recalled times of back when we were ten and remained indignant of accepting the fact that seventeen is not too far away. Once used to be in t-shirts and shorts, we now donned futuristic colours of electric blue and fire red in heels to match as we ponder over the future that awaits us, whether leading us into sucess or to the end of the world.

What a way to spend the second day of the Lunar New Year it had been. We stayed in Gramaphone for a while, looking at the growing collection of CDs and DVDs of music and movies. Every year adding on to the already substantial collection, every year of rememberance and of reminiscence. How odd to think of ourselves decades after this when we think ourselves old at seventeen?

Bought three DVDs at one go. One NC16 and two M18. It hadn't been a purposeful purchase of the ratings but rather pursuits of interest, which I then realised to be related to blood, gore and much lopping off of heads. Classics like Interview With the Vampire, Dracula and a wonderful Tim Burton movie titled Sleepy Hollow.

The afternoon was wasted away by watching a headless horseman lopping of heads of brown curls and disquiet eyes as their victims leave their mouths agape as the sword swiftly passes through their skin, their vessels, their meat and their bones.

Dinner was rather bereft of meat. Deborah and Elaine came over. We'd experimented with our final packet of microwave-popcorn and watched Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas flash their gleaming teeth, hard cold against soft warm flesh as fresh blood spills out from lacerations of all sorts. Eyes were made beautiful with the help of contact-lenses. More deaths, decapitation and dismemberment. The ending left us slightly bewildered and lost for we have yet to figure it out.

Ah, so much for a peaceful day. Tomorrow, I shall explore the attempt of a film adaptation to a horror classic. Though I have no stomach for horror, anything vampiric will always be embraced with my open arms.

I just realised that my neighbours have rather cool cars. There's a lime green BMW sports car with green headlights and green wheel rims and a red and white Volkswagen van (heehee Van, if you're reading this.. :D). Way too cool. German cars for the win. Domestic cars, at least. Otherwise, it's forza Ferrari all the way.

Less than two hours to the new Lunar year. Anything to look forward too? Not really.

I haven't been able to do long blogposts with the exception of pictures since.. for a very very long time. I simply am in no mood to do such anymore. Besides, there's nothing much to mention about when the holidays are ending so soon.

FORT CANNING PARK

Anyone else wants to go?
It shall be the concert highlight of the year for Debo and me. In the middle of both our birthdays too. Ah, the annual concert fever. 2007 was The Cure, 2008 was Dream Theater and now Kaiser Chiefs.

What did you learn today?
I learnt nothing.

Glad that I live am I, that the sky is blue.
Glad for the country lanes, and the fall of dew. After the sun the rain, after the rain the sun.
This is the way of life, till the work be done.
All that we need to do be we low or high,
is to see that we grow nearer the sky.
Went back to SC for the CNY celebration today. Met a whole bunch of SY/SE students. Mostly hung around with Mong Yi, Amelia, Davinia and Jun Yan. When we got to the hall, Mrs Fern told us we could sit in the gallery (where secondary fours traditionally sit, with the exception of this year's batch, somehow) and so we did. Elizabeth was grounded. Otherwise, we could have been sitting in our usual spot, right at the corner of the gallery as shown below :D
This was something that I missed looking at haha. Gave me goosebumps actually but I still think it's majorly cool. The performances were.. the usual. But the kicks of being a graduate is that you get to eat and use your phone. HAHAHA. Ah, cheap thrill, cheap thrill. Well, the primary school kids were pretty fun to watch. After the performances, all of us went to hunt for teachers at the staffroom, which has been very beautifully revamped. They even have two staffrooms now, one for Humanities and one for Sciences. Wow. Davinia, Amelia, Mong Yi and I stalked around the school a bit while waiting for Jun Yan before we headed off to Grand Cathay to watch Changeling.
The movie was pretty good, though we had a little disagreement on whether it was touching or not. What was really funny though, was when we exited from the theatre, we realised that it had been full of guys, hardly any girls. Perhaps it was some major outing for them. After that, we headed off to Plaza Singapura and we spotted a few SCgirls.Well, Dav wanted to take her favourite MRT pictures so there we go. All clad in red. And we were saying in the MRT, if we both end up in JCs in the east, we shall meet up at Parkway :D

Eight-hundredth post, hmmm.

Been locked up at home doing nothing because.. There hasn't been anything to do. Some friends are working, some friends are tied down with their DSA bonds, some friends unable to meet up due to clashing schedules and some are simply too lazy to get out.

Boredom craves for entertainment. Playing with picture-editing services and reading were pretty much all I could do anyway. Usually, I'd dismiss this as egotistical camera-hogging but it was fun to see how the pictures turned out after editing. Ah, white walls, white walls. I feel like I'm living in an asylum.

Had been talking to Kee Jia, Kristabelle and Elizabeth in a joint conversation past midnight. Prior to that, we were speaking in separate conversations.
Aw Eli <3Lasalle's open house at 1 McNally street. Kee Jia, Mong Yi and I went for the fun of it. Theatre, music and dance showcases were kind of cool. The art galleries were not bad either. But I was expecting the open house to be a lot more vibrant actually. The campus is actually kind of small and it was so windy that things were flying everywhere.
Thursday was spent accompanying Li Zhi to NJ, then meeting up with Jia Ying at KAP Macs and then invading Serena's drum lessons with Boey. It was kind of funny to watch Serena struggling with fills and while attempting to keep in time with the metronome while Boey fools around with his crash symbols and hi-hats. Boey offered me a turn on the drumset but I felt way too uncoordinated to try. Helped Serena with Chemistry before leaving Suntec and coincidentally met Zi Wei's parents.

Wednesday was spent roaming around RJC and SAJC during their open houses. Saw many familiar faces though I can't say that all evoked pleasant memories. It was rather surprising (almost bordering "shocking") to see how many people were thinking of the same JCs. Then again, I shouldn't be so surprised because there are only 16 Junior Colleges in Singapore anyway.
I've been reading like a dork lately. Got addicted on this vampyre series titled House of Night and am still re-reading Harry Potter. My Twilight books are slowly disappearing because of a certain someone who conveniently takes books out of my shelf without having the decency to ask or at least tell me that he's doing so first.

Another thing to note is that it's been exactly a year since the Dream Theater concert last year where Debo and I endured three hours of rain in the open space of Fort Canning, with false eyelashes attached amateuri-ish-ly attached to our eyelids. We were offered cigarettes (which we obviously refused) and were pushed around by this weird lady who shouted rather funny things during the concert. Ah. What a great concert it had been. What a year it has been.

It feels like I've not been sleeping well even though I'm quite sure I've been fufilling eight hours each day. The week seems to have flown by and this signifies something. Time seems to always fly when you're anticipating something. It's definitely not CNY but probably to the start of school. I can't wield a pen properly nor can I do much with my left-brain anymore. That's not the greatest fear. It's just that it took me so long to realise this. That I'm really not ready yet. I just really hope that I'll be posted to any of my first three choices.

P.S. Yes I've merged a number of posts and edited them. It's just because I can't stand small chunks of them wasting space. With this, my posts are neatly tucked under 800.

{Brandishes the O Levels result slip,

prances around screaming,

"I PASSED AMATH"}

I've said it many times and I'll say it again:
YOU DON'T NEED TUITION TO PASS AMATH.

Plenty of hysterics.
I love SC so so so much <3

I feel a little dazed today. There's a good chance that I look as I feel too. Only went to sleep after four in the morning after a rather spontaneous night out with Deborah, Elaine and her brother. By the way, Elaine should thank me for not putting up this other rather creepily gross picture of her up on my blog. Though on Facebook.. that's another thing.
This is the bandana-less bandana boy whose unfortunate picture has been captured on both Debo's and my camera.
Wasn't intending to turn up for Kele Okereke's (Bloc Party) DJ set initially but after hanging around at Elaine's house with Debo last night, I had a "Oh heck, let's just see what it's like" epiphany, went home to change, told my parents that I'll be out with them and then sleeping over at Elaine's and did exactly what I'd said. I've never taken buses of the same number so many times.

We hailed a cab in the street to look for Skylar, who's an amazing person, as usual. Heh. Then we headed off to Home Club, where the set was located. If not for the two guys queueing behind Elaine and I, we probably had to stand in line much longer. What I have perceived of Singapore's nightlife failed me anyway. Though the DJ set was good. I still do not understand what is so captivating of the clubbing lifestyle. Perhaps visiting Clarke Quay would change my mind but until I actually bother taking a look, I'm sticking to broad daylight, however much I hate the sun on normal days.

Ah, I think I really need to go to sleep. Just for a little while. Perhaps a nap. No sun. No rain. Nice weather. I should be riding a bicycle.

12th January is like a date for court trial. A trial to await either the death sentence or a pardon to get on with life. Either ways, I'm rather half-hearted about wanting to know the outcome.

Whatever it is, I went back to SC for fun today after extending the period of concession privileges on my ez-link card. Need I say Transitlink has been a megabitch to me lately? Anyway, crashed common recess with May. Helped Serena with Chemistry for a bit, but mostly spent time talking about a whole lot of crap. Left with May towards Orchard. Was planning to get CDs from HMV when I realised that the shelves have been emptied of This War is Ours and Once. Gah.

Headed back into the East, replaced my library card only to find out that the books that I'd wanted to borrow yesterday (but couldn't because I don't have a library card after losing my wallet in the midst of Os) were on loan! Oh, what rotten luck): Well, I'd offered to pick my sister up from TNS since it was nearby and headed back home to rot.
And by the way, this was completed a few days back, but the novelty has yet to wear off.

I'm watching a rerun of American Idols 6 auditions just because I haven't been watching the series in forever and there's nothing else to do at the moment. It's hilarious, yes, but still disturbing and sometimes, the judges are kind of.. overboard.

Another thing to wonder. Is it just Americans or is it turly possible to have a self-esteem that high, to have an ego so huge, to have skin so unbelieveably thick to the extent of being perhaps impenetrable? It's admirable to see themselves being so.. confident but some to the extent of being in denial, it's rather off-putting.

Yesterday was a day of spontaneity and I ended up spending the entire of this morning in bed because I was too tired to get up. Maybe I'm in denial. This denial is not a result of towering self-esteem. On the contrary, it probably is an effect of reluctance to face reality. Ah, I really detest the process of growing up.
